A sitcom gone very wrong:
Five student flatmates navigate the highs and lows of life and love as a near ‘grown up’ at the end of university; brimming with the crippling angst and uncertainty everyone said you’d grow out of by your twenties. After possibly the worst night of their lives, they wake up one morning to find their worlds have been turned upside-down and that things have changed forever…
Dealing with topical issues and exploring transition, friendship, modern love, identity and mental health; ‘Permanent Tenancy’ is a pitch black existential comedy, leaning more on the absurd, comedic and often anarchic elements of its premise without shying away from the important and heartfelt.

With collaborative input from the cast and Stormy TeaCup Productions.
Stormy TeaCup Productions was founded in 2018 by LIPA graduates to create small scale performances that pack a punch. They believe emphatically in creating productions that entertain foremost and hold the ethos: if you want to tell a message with a story, you can’t make the story about the message. Lovers of music and the magic of storytelling their productions often incorporate instruments and classic stories with a twist.
Their debut production ‘Songs of Innocence’ received Five Star reviews during its sold-out run in Liverpool before being selected as part of the 2020 ‘Six Play, One Day’ festival at the Tristan Bates theatre in London’s West End. On the back of that performance, the show was scheduled to go on tour until that bad thing happened and everything went sideways.
Tenacious as always, ‘Permanent Tenancy’ is the company’s first production since the pandemic.
